KITCH Hair

KITCH Hair, created by Luca Jones and Scott Humphreys, was an multi award-winning 1950s kitchen-inspired salon in the heart of Angel, Islington, offering full salon and barbering services.

From the very beginning, Kitch was never a traditional barbershop that excluded women or the LGBTQ+ community — and it was never just another soulless salon either. It was built as a warm, welcoming space where everyone could feel at home, as if you were getting your hair done in a friend’s kitchen.

At Kitch, hair knew no gender. Our pricing was based on hair length, time, and products — never on gender — because we believed that everyone deserves great hair and equal treatment.

Our incredible team of stylists, colourists, and barbers brought experience from across TV, film, celebrity, editorial, and education into the salon every single day, creating beautiful work while nurturing a creative and supportive environment.

In November 2025, I made the decision to close Kitch Hair so I could focus fully on my own solo venture, Luca Jones Hair Salon. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it was the right one for my creative future. I am incredibly proud of everything we achieved at Kitch — from winning awards to building a truly safe, inclusive space where so many people felt seen, welcome, and cared for.

Thank you to every client, collaborator, and colleague who walked through our doors. You helped make Kitch something genuinely special, and its spirit continues to live on in everything I do next. 💛
